Nurture that drive to sustain a healthy and active lifestyle! This series promotes overall wellness through the practice of Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese art that blends exercise with stress reduction. Each week will include a warm-up, followed by basic, low-impact Tai Chi movements. Taking place indoors at Grounds For Sculpture, this is a unique opportunity to focus on both body and spirit, as you will be surrounded by the beauty and inspiration of art. Beginner and advanced students welcome, building on previous experience each session.
This series runs Thursdays, January 27 (Thursday, January 27 Tai Chi class has been postponed.), February 10, 24, March 10, 17, April 7, 21, May 5, 12 , 19 at 9:30am. Register for sessions individually.
Instructor: Tony Jackson graduated from the United States Military Academy (West Point) in 1989 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and served as a 1st Lieutenant, Airborne Ranger Infantryman with the US Army, then transitioned to his corporate career with Nestle, The Dial Corporation, Roche Pharmaceuticals, and AmerisourceBergen. Today, through his business Dao Concepts, Tony teaches Tai Chi to adults and Kung Fu to kids full-time.
