Family programs provide opportunities for kids and caregivers to share in experiences that include hands-on art-making, storytelling, and guided exploration of our galleries and gardens.
In addition to a wide spectrum of informal drop-in experiences and activities throughout the year, GFS presents three ongoing programs for children and their caregivers: Tots For Sculpture, Storytelling in the Galleries, and our Young Artists Workshops.
Private workshops for children and families are also available. To learn more, contact us at education@groundsforsculpture.org.
Tots For Sculpture
In this gallery-studio program, early learners explore materials, make art, and get inspired by GFS’s current exhibitions. All workshops designed for kids ages three to five together with their adult caregivers.
Storytelling In The Gallery
This winter program explores literary connections to current exhibitions and is geared towards kids between the ages of six and ten and their adult companions.
Young Artist Workshops
These workshops, created for kids between the ages of six and ten, combine exploration in the galleries and experimentation with related materials and techniques in the studio. Each month features a different theme. Adult caregivers welcome.
Private Workshops
Grounds For Sculpture offers a variety of workshops perfect for schools, camps, scouts, and birthday parties. These hands-on experiences are designed to engage young artists’ senses and encourage experimentation.
Programs can accommodate groups of 10 participants minimum and must be booked at least 14 days in advance. Grounds For Sculpture admission is waived the day of your workshop.
