Grounds For Sculpture (GFS) is a dynamic, evolving institution, looking to the future and building on a fiscally sound and vibrant foundation 25 years in the making.

We build on the ambitious vision of our founder, Seward Johnson, who insisted that a different kind of museum was possible—a model that has generously made art approachable and honors each visitors direct and visceral engagement with art and nature.

As a registered nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization, we rely on the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations to help support the important work we do, to maintain the sculpture park and its operations, to provide low and no-cost programming to disadvantaged families, to continue making our 42-acre campus accessible for guests of all abilities, to provide meaningful programs fostering inspiration, creative self-expression, and connection for seniors, students, and children, and to create a haven for wellness, recharge, enjoyment, and reflection.

The benefits are critical – especially now. And your support can help light the way toward a deeper sense of compassion, empathy, and humanity. Your support makes a difference. It can help change the world, one visitor at a time.

Every donation made to Grounds For Sculpture makes a positive difference in the number of people we can reach and the ongoing sustainability of the programs we offer. Our arts programs are entirely dependent on fundraising. We can only offer them because of people like you, who value and understand their importance.

Your gift is fully tax-deductible.

Please donate today – and thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for your generosity.

We have received many questions about whether the opening of state parks includes Grounds For Sculpture. Please note at this time we remain closed.

As a nonprofit organization we are not part of the state parks system and we are not yet permitted to open. We are watching the situation closely. When we are permitted to open, we are determined to do so in way that is safe for our staff, volunteers and visitors.

We know the value of being out in nature and experiencing art is all the more important and restorative during these uncertain times. We look forward to welcoming visitors back to experience GFS later this season when we are permitted and able to reopen. We are tending the garden to ensure we are ready when the time comes.
