What is the Collectors Circle?

A distinguished affinity group for art enthusiasts and collectors who want an insider relationship with Grounds For Sculpture. Deepen your passion for contemporary art and sculpture through intimate curatorial access, private collection tours, and curated travel—while directly supporting exhibitions, commissioning, and conservation at GFS. Collectors Circle patrons are invited into key moments of exchange, joining artists, curators, galleries, and fellow collectors at the earliest stages of collaboration, where creative ideas emerge and lasting relationships take shape.

100% TAX DEDUCTIBLE

$2,500 — COLLECTOR

RECOGNITION & IMPACT

Collectors Circle gifts support exhibitions, artist commissions, and conservation, all critical to GFS’s curatorial growth. There will be an opportunity for Collectors Circle patrons to vote together on which GFS annual exhibition they would like to collectively support with their dues, and will be recognized in the funder credits accordingly. Patrons are also acknowledged in donor listings and on our website.

FAQ

At GFS, Circle gifts support exhibitions, commissions, and conservation. We do not have an acquisition fund, but that is something we hope to create in the future. In its inaugural year, the Collectors Circle aims to bring together a small cohort of committed patrons whose combined support will meaningfully advance exhibitions and conservation efforts while strengthening unrestricted annual resources for GFS’s curatorial program. Your gift is 100% tax deductible.

Collectors enjoy all the core benefits and access that comes with joining this Circle. Visionary Collectors have additional enhanced benefits, including an invitation to Coffee with a Curator, Guided VIP visits to Art Fairs, Private Salon Dinners & Receptions with GFS Leadership, Priority invitations and concierge registration for events, and enhanced recognition in listings. Visionary Collectors dues are higher, which signifies a larger philanthropic donation.

Coffee with a Curator is an intimate, early-morning gathering that offers a truly behind-the-scenes look at how our exhibitions come together. This experience is offered exclusively for our Visionary Collectors patrons. Join GFS Curator, Grace Yasumura, for a private session where she’ll reveal the research, creative decisions, and challenges involved in bringing a major show to life. This is your exclusive opportunity to get an insider’s perspective, hear the hidden stories behind the artworks, and engage in one-on-one conversation to ask your most pressing questions over a warm cup of coffee.

We will do our best to put out a calendar of events and gatherings at the start of the year. But we also know that sometimes the best opportunities come with much less lead time. Each experience is intentionally designed to be intimate, thoughtful, and aligned with members’ interests—emphasizing quality over quantity and relationship over transaction. We guarantee that there will be at least 1-2 Collectors Circle programs per season, so at least 4 per year and up to 8.
