Tony Jackson leads a Tai Chi class indoors.
Roshni Khatri

This series takes place outdoors and promotes overall wellness through the practice of Yang Style Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese art that blends movement with stress reduction. Each week includes a warmup followed a recap of the previous lessons and low-impact Tai Chi movements necessary to learn the entire Yang Style Traditional Form. Don’t be discouraged if you miss a session, staff will ensure you aren’t left behind and are able to learn the complete Yang Style Traditional Form. This series is a unique opportunity to focus on both the body and mind, with the benefit of being outdoors surrounded by both art and nature. No experience needed, safe for all ages. Admission to GFS is included, so stay to enjoy the grounds!

Instructor: Tony Jackson graduated from the United States Military Academy (West Point) in 1989 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and served as a 1st Lieutenant, Airborne Ranger Infantryman with the US Army, then transitioned to his corporate career with Nestle, The Dial Corporation, Roche Pharmaceuticals, and AmerisourceBergen. Today, through his business Dao Concepts, Tony teaches Tai Chi to adults and Kung Fu to kids full-time.
