Build your own, personal basket tote, perfect for going to the farmer’s market or to the beach. Hand weave this traditional basket using a mold, with a reinforced bottom with oak runners and copper rivets. A Shaker tape (a simple, quick and colorful weave), handle finishes off the top. Approximate size is 7”H x 12”L x 7”W at the base.

Instructor: Mary May is a traditional New Jersey Basket maker weaving for over 25 years. She has worked hard to develop her skills, to research the basket industry and makers in South Jersey. Mary has been selected to be the 2022 recipient of the Ocean County Lifetime achievement in the Arts this year. She is currently the Vice President of the Penn-Jersey Basket Guild.
