Horticulture Sustainable Gardening Practice: Kokedama

Kokedama can bring peace and Zen into a home. In this workshop, you will learn how to make your own stunning and unique Japanese moss ball plant! You will create a beautiful and natural display that’s perfect for your space. The instructor, Margarita Poulson, will guide you step-by- step to making these sustainable plant holders and show you how to create an easy-care plant that will bring peace and Zen to your interior home space. All materials will be provided. Admission to GFS is included, so feel free to stay and enjoy!

Instructor: Margarita Poulson is Curator of The Shelvy White & Leon Levy Water Garden at Brooklyn Botanic Garden. She is also an Art Crafts teacher with a focus on Botanical Jewelry Making. She is inspired by and teaches indigenous history, cultural traditions and folklore of transforming Plants materials into wearable unique ornaments and accessories.
