'Couple', 'Reclining Woman', and 'Dual Form' share a curvaceous sensuality achieved through simplified, ambiguous anthropomorphic forms. The sculptures address the figure through abstraction. The artist’s pursuit is “to delineate and synthesize the human condition in sculptural terms” in an attempt “to reach beyond the transitory to the enduring phenomena of existence.” Zinman incorporates the design elements of line, mass, and space with the effects of light and shadow accentuated by swells and hollows to further present a dichotomy between clarity of form and the subjective response she elicits from the viewer. In 'Dual Form', Zinman alludes to connections, communication, and relationships through its composition.
