Welcome to Storybook Sculptures, a joyful celebration of book-inspired artwork created by the talented preschool students of Better Beginnings Child Development Center, Princeton Nursery School, and Millhill Child & Family Development’s PreK program.
Throughout the school year, over 230 preschoolers engaged in monthly hands-on artmaking inspired by different books read by Grounds For Sculpture museum educators during their visits to the schools. After story time, the children were guided through projects that explored color, shape, movement, dimension, and self, translating their experiences into unique works of art.We invite you to enjoy the students’ creations and see if you can recognize which works were inspired by which books!
Grounds For Sculpture is proud to call these schools our community partners. Thank you to the staff, parents, and especially the young artists and their amazing teachers at Better Beginnings Child Development Center, Princeton Nursery School, and Millhill Child & Family Development.
