The talented artists of Arc Mercer proudly welcome you to experience Fantastic Fibers: Alternative Explorations of Textiles. This vibrant, collaborative exhibition celebrates creative works produced through experimentation, attempting to reimagine traditional textile techniques.

Together with the Education team and volunteers at Grounds For Sculpture, the featured artists explored unconventional materials, such as plastic mesh and ribbon, stockings, and paper to create tapestries, hats, and three-dimensional floral sculptures. At the heart of the exhibition stands a life-sized rotating fashion doll that will be rotated frequently throughout the show’s duration, embodying the exhibition’s spirit of curiosity and collaboration.

Arc Mercer is a non-profit agency devoted to supporting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Mercer County. In addition to vocational training, Arc Mercer offers various artistic programs, such as music, media, and visual art. Through artistic expression, the Arc enables individuals to find their voice and show the world who they truly are.
