Immerse yourself at Grounds For Sculpture and engage all five senses: sight, touch, smell, taste, and sound.

Imagine… You arrive at Grounds For Sculpture, are greeted with a cold glass of sparkling wine, and then meet your tour guide for the evening.  When your tour begins, you’ll venture outdoors, strolling the grounds after hours as the sun begins to set. Over the course of the evening, you’ll be introduced to five sculptures, and taste five premium food and wine pairings curated by the chef and sommelier at Rat’s Restaurant. Each distinct pairing is evocative of one of the five senses…sight, touch, taste, smell, and sound. Let the swirling begin…

At each stop, you’ll begin your sensory journey by savoring an elevated hors d’oeuvre matched with a special wine selection, learning from knowledgeable wine experts. Next, you’ll turn to hear more about the sculpture from one of GFS’s expert docents. Even if you’ve been to GFS before, you’ll discover something new. The tour groups at Swirl are capped at 30 people, ensuring an intimate gathering, free of wait lines, where you’ll have time to mingle and delight in the tour pairings at each sculpture.

Finally, after the final pairing, you are invited to continue the evening experience at your own pace. Bid on exquisite wine-related items in our Silent Auction, and, NEW this year, ALL the wines from the evening will be available to purchase by the glass at the Pavilion at Rat’s, so you can enjoy your favorite all over again. Our volunteers will be available to help direct to you Rat’s – a short walk or drive away from the end of Swirl. Should you wish to conclude your evening at Rat’s with dinner, a night cap, or dessert, we recommend making reservations in advance.

All funds raised from this event will support GFS’s impressive sculpture collection, sprawling gardens, and dynamic public programming. With your help we can deliver life-affirming access to art, education, and wellness experiences for as many people as possible.
