SEWARD JOHNSON ATELIER HYBRID ONLINE
Participate in an aluminum casting event while creating your own low-relief sculpture. In your kit you will receive a single 5” x 5” blank scratch block to create your own design of an aluminum relief sculpture. A scratch block is a tile made of resin-bonded sand which you can carve any shallow-relief design to create a mold. We will provide instruction, tools, and materials for this workshop. We will have a virtual class on November 11 at 6pm in case you have any questions for our team of artists. When you are finished you will drop your mold at The Seward Johnson Atelier. You will be able to watch molten metal poured into the your mold to create a casting during our virtual lunchtime pour on December 2. Casting will be finished with an aluma black finish.
