Calling all Pokemon trainers! Join us for January’s Pokemon Go Community Day. Take a guided tour of the gardens based on routes in the Pokemon Go app, which will focus on GFS history and sculptures at Pokestops, take part in team activities in the Auditorium, trade and battle Pokemon with fellow trainers, and more! There will also be a chance to win a FREE GFS Family Membership, based on a sculpture hunt with your pokemon buddy.
Tours will be offered at 11AM, 12PM, and 1PM. This event is free with admission to GFS.
Never played Pokemon before? Experienced trainers will be on site to teach families how to play. There will also be about 40 Pokestops and 9 gyms at GFS, which are areas where people can spin to get items and battle with others to achieve in-game prizes.
The day’s other activities will include:
- Special pins being made of your favorite Pokemon
- How to draw Pokemon Workstations on your team’s banner
- Countdowns to local raid battles that you and other players can work together and defeat
- Opportunities to trade Pokemon Cards with other players
- This is a Pokemon Community Day based around the Pokemon Grookey. There will be lots of them available on the app from 2-5PM with opportunities to get shiny’s which are unique types of Pokemon.
- Lures will be set to attract more Pokemon to the area.
