Celebrate winter’s deep rest and embrace the new year with focused, mindful breathing and the practice of intention setting. Intention setting is a mindful practice where you define a guiding principle, rather than a rigid goal, for how you want to be in your daily life. Join us for a very special members-only Candlelight Chair Yoga + Intention Setting program in Grounds For Sculpture’s West Gallery on Wednesday, January 7 from 5:30pm-7pm. From beginners to seasoned yogis, all are welcome to this program as modifications can be made for all levels. This experience will be led as Chair Yoga, but our instructor invites you to bring your yoga mat to take your practice to the floor.
Instructor Carolann Jones will lead us in curated yoga flow and a guided intention setting activity sealed with an essential oil blessing, all while we are surrounded by the beauty of twinkling candlelight and exclusive activation of the captivating sculpture Altar II by artist Michele Oka Doner. Part of the artist’s Sparks series, Altar II is an elaborate bronze sculpture designed to become a candelabra during ceremonial use.
Instructor: Carolann Jones is a certified Life & Wellness Coach, certified Yoga & Meditation Guide, Seasoned Trainer and Speaker.
