Creating a mala bead necklace is a form of meditation, binding both you to your intentions and the beads. As you string your beads, you will think about your goals and aspirations, connecting your intentions and self-love to the mala. Once completed, it will serve as a reminder of the intentions you set during the creation process and it will forever be special to you or the person you give it to. After complete your mala, learn how to use it during meditation practice while pairing it with a powerful mantra. All materials included.
About Mala: Mala originated in India and were used to keep track of the days and to keep accounts. This was a simple way of recording without writing things down, instead seeds were used. These seeds were most often rudraksha seeds, which are still prevalent in Mala beads today, and were either laid in rows or strung up.
Instructor: Nicoli began her meditation and yoga asana practice in 2011. After a few years of practicing, Nicoli became an RYT-200 by Three Sisters Yoga and the following year completed her advanced teacher training and earned her RYT-500. During her advanced training, Nicoli became passionate about Jnana Yoga, the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, the teachings of the Upanishads, and other ancient texts. She studied these ancient texts to deepen and strengthen her spiritual practice and to help others overcome challenges in life by applying ancient yoga teachings to modern day situations.
