Interpretation through Movement: GFS Artist in Residence donia salem investigates the relationship between personal, collective, cultural, and historical memory as inspiration for her interpretation of the exhibition through movement.
donia salem is the Executive Director of The Outlet Dance project. In addition, salem is principle dancer and choreographer with Sakshi Productions and was a founding member of Kalamandir Dance Company. Her work is driven by a desire to investigate how identity and experience are informed by place, language, lineage, migration, disease, and gender. Her current GFS Artist in Residence project, Anamnesis, will be presented in November 2019.
