A large black container, filled with greenery and colorful flowers

As the vibrant colors of summer give way to the warm hues of autumn, it’s the perfect time to revitalize your outdoor space through container gardening. Join Jen Mothes, Horticulturist at Grounds For Sculpture, for a workshop designed to inspire and equip you with the knowledge and skills to create a stunning fall planter. In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to select seasonally appropriate plants, utilize principles of design when creating your container garden, and maintain your planter throughout the season. Participants will be provided with all materials (including a pot, soil, and plants) to create a stunning autumnal planter to take home with you.
This is a hands-on workshop – you will be working with soil and plants. Please dress appropriately. Admission to GFS and supplies included.

Instructor: Jen Mothes, Horticulturist, has been a member of the Horticulture team at GFS since 2022 and is currently pursuing her degree in Ornamental Horticulture. Jen believes that everything is connected, yet we have forgotten our ancient, biological need to connect with nature. Taking time to slow down, notice, and share the small wonders of our world has the power to teach us empathy and heal that broken connection.
