Artisan Trunk show: Dawn Arena

Dawn Arena, a self-taught sculptor from New Brunswick, NJ transforms everyday objects into delightful sculptures of insects, birds, and other animals. Join her as she talks about how a single piece of flatware can inspire endless sculptural possibilities and see how Arena breathes new life into discarded materials. Turning recycled scrap metal and cutlery into whimsical animal assemblages that reflect the natural world.

American artist Dawn Arena was born in 1964 in New Brunswick NJ. Although an autodidact, she ventured into a wide variety of art forms in the 1990’s, but now works primarily with steel to create sculptures that are inspired by her surroundings.
