Garden Maintenance Series: Tree Pruning

Knowing how to correctly prune your trees is an essential part of maintaining your garden landscape. Join GFS Director of Horticulture Janis Napoli for this two-hour workshop and learn how to get your trees looking and growing their best. In this workshop, you’ll learn:

1. Why we prune: Safety, aesthetics, health
2. How to prune: The correct tools and techniques
3. When to prune: Pruning at the right time of year

This is a hands-on workshop – you will be pruning trees on the grounds, so come dressed for the weather and for working in the garden. All equipment will be provided, but you may bring your own gloves and hand pruners if you have them. This workshop to open to gardeners of all levels of experience.
