Caminantes  or Wayfarers is a bronze sculpture installed in the East Gallery hedge gardens depicting a hybrid cactus/human form, with human feet that extend upwards into jagged plant-like legs.  The feet appear bare and the patina is dull and worn compared in contrast to the vibrant green color of the plant forms above. This sculpture speaks to the long journeys and vulnerability of immigrants. This is one of two outdoor sculptures by Salvador Jimenez-Flores were installed as part of the Raices & Resistencias exhibition.
