Ron Young received a MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles and has studied bronze casting with the Pomadora brothers in Italy where he received a Roman Art Degree. He has also studied art at the University in Mexico City. Currently, he is a professor of art at California State University, Long Beach and Palomar College in San Marcos, CA, and has been appointed to a faculty position at the University in Cape Town, South Africa. He is the author of two widely read books on sculptural technique entitled Methods For Modern Sculptors and Contemporary Patination. He has conducted seminars on sculpture throughout the world.
