The Awakening: Sounds For Sculpture

Composer and Jazz Vibraphonist Christian Tamburr premiers a body of original music inspired by sculpture of renowned sculptor Seward Johnson.


Studio Intensive: Concrete

Explore the possibilities of an often-overlooked material during this two-day introduction to concrete. Designed for all skill levels, experiment with molds, coloring techniques, texture transformation, and adding other raw materials to test the expressive limits of a building material that can go under appreciated in the studio. All materials and tools provided. The Studio Intensive: Concrete workshop takes place on Saturday & Sunday, August 17 & 18 from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Instructor: Anne Spurgeon Anne Spurgeon is an interdisciplinary, Columbus, Ohio-based artist whose work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. She holds a BFA from The Ohio State University and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts and currently works at both The Museum of Modern Art and The Noguchi Museum in New York.
