Marsha Pels

Marsha Pels earned a BFA in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1972 and completed her MFA in sculpture in 1974 at Syracuse University, NY. In 1984-85, she was awarded the Prix de Rome for Sculpture from the American Academy in Rome, Italy. In the past thirty years, Pels has participated in over thirty group shows at various venues throughout the United States, a selection of which includes: Kouros Sculpture Center, Ridgefield, CT; Aldrich Museum of Contemporary Art; Ridgefield, CT; Oscarsson-Siegeeltuch & Co., Oscarsson Hood Gallery, and Krasner Gallery in New York City, NY; Nielsen Gallery, Boston, MA; among many others, particularly in the Northeastern United States.
