Sounds of Summer: The Do Rights

Discover something new at GFS! Enjoy live melodies under the stars during our Sounds of Summer music series, featuring notable up-and-comers and legendary locals. Highlighting performers with plenty of originality, we aim to promote and support the exceptional music in the tri-state area. THE DO RIGHTS With soulful vocals, robust horns, and a tight rhythm section groove, The Do Rights blend old school sounds with original and contemporary influences like Fela Kuti, James Brown, and other afrobeat and traditional funk artists. Formed in New Brunswick in 2010 and on a regular rotation at live music venues in central New Jersey and beyond, all members come from different musical backgrounds, from reggae, to touring indie-soul bands, to jazz – elements quite alive in their energetic, original music and style.
