Family Journaling in our Garden

Why are some leaves very large, and other leaves very small?

Does grass have a flower?

Join horticulturist and writer Pam Ruch for a family friendly look into the wonder of our beautiful garden as we uncover observations of nature together and record them through nature journaling.

  • Ages 10 and up
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult companion
  • One journal per child participant included

Pam Ruch is a horticulturist and writer based in Emmaus, PA. She managed the grounds at Morven Museum & Garden, in Princeton, NJ, for 19 years and grows food and flowers for the Glasbern Inn, in Fogelsville, PA. In addition, she writes for several online and print organizations, including the Home Garden Seed Association. A presenter in the 2012 Art of Journaling series at the Nurturing Nature Center in Easton, PA, Pam offers journaling workshops throughout the region. She holds a BS in Horticulture from Temple University, and an MS in Environmental Science from Green Mountain registration, please feel free to bring your own journal if preferred.
