An Autumn Cultural Escape: Toronto, Ontario

Nearby Toronto is often forgotten when thinking of great art getaway cities, but with its vibrant neighborhoods, international character and burgeoning arts scene, Canada’s largest city is a must-see destination for art lovers. Join GFS on an insider’s tour of Toronto’s cultural wonders, with highlights including the Art Gallery of Ontario, the new Aga Khan Museum, and the sculpture collection of York University. Exclusive art access is a major feature of the tour – from a private visit to the studio of artist James Carl, whose work will also exhibit at GFS in 2018, to the chance to view an outstanding private contemporary art collection not open to the public. Throughout the tour, we will also meet fascinating locals – historians, sculptors, designers and art collectors – who will share their Toronto with us. Members will enjoy accommodations at the lovely lakefront Westin Harbour Castle Hotel, perfectly sited in downtown Toronto, and memorable meals at excellent restaurants – from the 360 Restaurant 1000 feet up the CN Tower to the AGO’s renowned “Frank” to one of the city’s most renowned gourmet establishments. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to discover the creative spirit of Toronto!
