Saturday, June 5th
Anniversary Arts Party
Time: 11am – 4pm. Free with park admission. Our annual celebration of the founding of Grounds For Sculpture. Bring your children, ages 6-12, to our kid-friendly workshops. Meet the Artists and tour the grounds with select Artists-in-the-Park at 11am, 1pm, and 2pm. Additionally, Music & Motion Dance Productions will be on site performing excerpts from their 2010 Season in accompaniment to the Meet the Artist Tours. Join us in the Community Quilt Project! A display of the work thus far will be on exhibit, as well as the opportunity to make a square in contribution for our Commemorative Quilt as a work-in-progress. Adults, kids, and families are invited to create their own special squares depicting their favorite things about Grounds For Sculpture! Tenth on the Tenth Giveaway! In honor of Grounds For Sculpture's 10th birthday as a non-profit organization, we want to give you a gift! The tenth person in the park on the 10th of every month will win a Grounds For Sculpture goodie bag worth a retail value of $50! In addition, both Toad Hall Shop & Gallery and the Museum Shop will offer 10% off on the 10th of the month to patrons and online shoppers on regularly priced merchandise. Members receive an additional 10% on top of the 10% they already receive!

Courtyard Concert: The Klez Dispensers
Time: 7:30pm. Rain or shine! A full force of creativity, The Klez Dispensers are juicy, fresh and daring. They’ve been dishing up their signature state-of-the-art, swinging American-style Klezmer since their college days. Audiences can’t get enough of their impeccable arrangements, inspiring improvisations, and engaging repertoire from the early years of Klezmer, as well as exciting original compositions. An eight-piece ensemble comprised of clarinet, trumpet, saxophone, violin, piano, bass, drums and vocals, each Dispenser is an accomplished musician contributing skill, personality and artistry to the group. The blend is tremendous! Prior to the concert, The Peacock Café will be serving cultural specials dedicated to the night’s theme so come hungry! Price: All tickets, $10. 10th Anniversary Workshop: Leonda Finke
Time: 10:30am – 1:30pm. In the spring of 2001, Leonda Finke’s figurative drawings and sculptures were the focus of a one-person exhibition. Two sculptures of women in the sun have been on view in the sculpture pad ever since. Learn about her development and focus as a sculptor, and then using plasticine clay (a clay that always stays soft and workable), participants will create figurative sculptures that focus on the complexities of the human body rather than traditional idealized figures. Tots on Tour!
Time: 11 am & 1 pm. Ages 3-5. Rain or Shine! Free with Park admission. Listen to a story, become park explorers, and make original works of art. Bring your toddler to learn about sculpture through interactive activities. Instructor: Joslyn Johnson. One adult must accompany each child. Space is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis. Meets in the Visitor’s Center.

Time: 2pm. Rain or shine! Calling all poets, writers, musicians or any combination of the above. Courtyard Concert: Broadside Electric
Time: 7:30pm. Rain or shine! Broadside Electric’s unique hybrid sound successfully blends the music of different countries and cultures. Their distinctive melodies emphasize the British Isles by using rock idioms and innovative arrangements bringing new energy to folk music. Using this combination, they’ve earned a solid reputation for thoroughly original arrangements utilizing an extensive knowledge of traditional English, Celtic and Eastern European music. Folk fans will hear familiar pieces in a refreshing new setting while others will discover the richness of folk traditions embedded in modern multi-layered arrangements guaranteed to serenade the soul. Full Moon Tour & Picnic from The Peacock Café
Time: 7pm. Let the magnificence of Grounds For Sculpture wow you by moonlight in an experience like no other. This evening begins at the Peacock Café with a romantic picnic dinner for two, followed by a docent-led group tour lit by the light of a full moon. Enjoy a special walk through the Grounds and view individually lit sculptures to show off their evening brilliance. Reservations are limited for our moon-light tours. Price: $65 per couple. Sunday, June 27th
Special Performance of Opera NJ
Time: 3pm. Free with park admission. Back by popular demand, Opera New Jersey will present its family-friendly Musical Theater Concert at Grounds For Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. Featuring singers from its Victoria J. Mastrobuono Emerging Artist Program, the concert will feature highlights from: Follies, Into the Woods, The Student Prince, Brigadoon, Once Upon a Mattress, Guys & Dolls, and many others. The entire family is encouraged to attend this informal concert.
