Princeton School of Rock: A Tribute to the Grateful Dead

Time: 12pm.  Free with park admission.
Due to severe weather, School of Rock has relocated the event.  For updated information, please see the School of Rock website here.
Before there was a School of Rock movie, there was The Paul Green School of Rock Music - a performance based, interactive music school established by Paul Green in 1998 for kids ages 7-18.  For their performance , hosted by Grounds For Sculpture, the students will be playing a tribute to the Grateful Dead, covering songs by the legendary band.  You saw the Jack Black movie, now see the real thing!

Fall Open House
Time: 11am - 4pm. Free with park admission.
We will be spotlighting our upcoming exhibitions, workshops, concerts, dance performances, gourmet food and special programs.  Enjoy a local musician, sample the fine fare of Rat's Restaurant and learn how you can host a private party at this unique venue.  The Museum Shop and Toad Hall Shop & Gallery will offer special discounts on select items for this annual event.
Tuesday, September 16th
Sculptural Ceramics - Adult Workshop I
Dates: September 16,23,30 and October 7,14.  Time: 10:30am - 1pm.
This course designed for beginner and intermediate students will teach teh basic techniques of hand-building: pinch, coil, slab, and glazing techniques.  No experience necessary.  Instructor: Trudi Clark.  Prices: $165 Members; $180 non-Members.  Please register by calling (609) 586-0616.

Gallery Talk: Naked Nature: Environmental Landscapes with Alan Sonfist
Time: 2pm.  Free with park admission.
For thirty years, Alan Sonfist, a pioneer in creating environmental and sustainable art, has worked to preserve teh natural environ through the creation of his environmental landscapes and sculptures merging historically indigenous plant species, geologic entities, and the natural landscape.  Sonfist's work unites the cultural aspects of the art addressing the need for human interaction withing the environment.  Space is limited.  Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Tots on Tour!
Time: 11am.  Ages 3-5.  Rain or shine!  Free with park admission.
Listen to a story, become park explorers, and make original work sof art.  Bring your toddler to learn abou tsculpture through interactive activities.  One adult must accompany each child.  Space is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Tea Time for Tots
Time: 1pm.  Agest 5-6.  Rain or shine!
Join us for a special Tea Time for Tots!  Children will not only be given etiquette lessons, they'll also learn the history of tea, brewing, and teh benefits of herbals in a healthy diet.  Each in attendance will go home with an herbal favor!  Prices: $30 Members; $35 non-Members.  Please reserve by calling (609) 586-0616.
