Introduction to Herbalism: Making Oxymels

Oxymels are one of the oldest forms of herbal medicine. Used by ancient Greeks and Persians, these tart herbal syrups convey the healing properties of plants while adding a flavorful zest to a variety of beverages. In this hands-on class, you'll learn why this form of medicine was preferred by classical doctors, how to make a healing herbal oxymel, and create a delicious syrup of your own to bring home. Instructor: Amanda Midkiff, herbal farmer and founder of Locust Light Farm in Titusville, New Jersey.
