A number of Johnson’s tableaus inspired by well-known nineteenth-century paintings are on view throughout Grounds For Sculpture. This work was inspired by the painting by Pierre-Auguste Renoir, 'Lunch at the Restaurant Fournaise (The Rowers’ Lunch), (1875).
