Born 1942, Cass City, MI
Parker received a BA from Eastern Michigan University in 1964 and an MFA in sculpture from the University of Massachusetts n 1967. His work has been widely exhibited. He had a one person exhibition at the University of the Arts in 2011. Other one-person exhibits were at the Kouros Gallery in New York City and the James Michener Art Museum, PA, as well as shows in Budapest, Hungary; at Saint Joseph’s University, Philadelphia, PA; and at Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, MI. He has been a participant in recent group exhibitions at galleries and museums in New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New Jersey, New Mexico, and in Japan and Hungary. Parker has many years experience as a member of the faculty of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. He has also served as the President of the Sculptor’s Guild in New York and on the Board of Directors for the International Sculpture Center. He lives and works in Philadelphia, PA.
